I know it goes without saying but the perfect Halloween Horror Nights evening should be fun.

Don't get yourself too wrapped up in seeing everything if you stop enjoying the night. Be prepared to go off course if that's where the mood takes you. Focus on what is going to give you the most enjoyment. If you loved a house so much you MUST do it again straight away, then go for it!

After all my plans to make sure I had the perfect night, ultimately I achieved it because I made sure that I was able to flex the plan to have fun. We kept an eye on the wait times and changed up what we were going to do next regularly.

We decided to take a detour on our way to the back of the park to spend some time in Diagon Alley. We rode Escape from Gringotts whilst there was hardly any queue, it was a nice break for my friend who was still just finding her HHN feet.

When we got hungry we stopped, when we needed a drink we took time out. We headed into the Fear Factor stage early with a water to cool off and relax. On the way past Central Park we saw the Marathon of Mayhem show was just about to start so went in rather than heading to our next house.

If getting through every house is something that you NEED to do to have the perfect night then you might want to invest in an Express Pass or even join an R.I.P Tour to ensure you see everything. Express Pass allows you to skip some of the wait times and head almost to the front of the queue. R.I.P Tours allow you to either join a group of fellow horror fans or if there's enough in your group, then you can have a tour all to yourselves.

Ultimately Halloween Horror Nights is about getting there and enjoying all the scares so go and have fun!
