10 Strange Unsolved Mysteries

7. Have Time Travelers Been Caught In Decades Old Photos?

Lately, photos and videos of €œtime travellers€ or €œtime slips€ have been making the rounds on the Internet. While some are clearly bad fakes, there are others that are entertaining and well composed fakes, like those of artist Flora Borsi. However, there are a few that have been released by historical societies and museums that seem to feature someone that is very out of place for the time period. For example, the €œtime travelling hipster,€ as he€™s been called, can be seen in the picture above. This photograph was released by the Virtual Museum Canada website from the reopening ceremony of the South Forks Bridge in Gold Bridge, British Columbia. The photograph is from 1941, but the man on the left appears to be wearing wrap-around goggles and a screen-printed shirt. Some time travel experts, a term applied loosely, have suggested that he even has a digital camera around his neck. Maybe it€™s even Edgar Allan Poe trying to get to the money pit. The traveling hipster photo is just one in a growing line of other unexplained images and videos, including the woman in the background of the Charlie Chaplin film, The Circus, who appears to be talking on a cell phone, and the woman in the video from 1938 Massachusetts also using a cell phone. The greater mystery, however, is whether Nicholas Cage was really alive in Tennessee around 1870.
