After following the dog, he comes across the rather unsettling sight of a young girl in red levitating 10 feet or so in the air. As the Russian man draws closer, the floating girl and what appears to be her mother turn in surprise and quickly run away. You might be thinking that she's being suspended in the air by a wire or rope, but when we first see the pair in a wide angle, there doesn't appear to be a tree anywhere near them. Theories range from the girl being possessed by a malevolent spirit, to her being a young witch learning magic from a young age.
