10 Terrifying Monsters Sighted Around The World

Dwelling in the Antarctic conditions of the oceans surrounding Japan, Ningens are giant humanoid lifeforms that have been spotted swimming near coastal areas. Completely white in colour and up to 30 meters in length, it’s unclear whether Ningens are more similar to mermaids, with one large tail, or squid, with multiple tentacles propelling their oceanic journeys.

Often discredited in pictures as icebergs, ocean foam, or misidentified whales, Ningen are currently believed to be involved in a government cover up due to producing a rare chemical compound that officials want to keep secret, which limits the evidence available to the public. Sightings have been reported in their masses by Japan though, and plenty of artistic realisations have been created that link across the board.

The legend of the Kraken was once based on the now-proven giant squid, and new species are being discovered everyday in our oceans - with Antarctic species particularly hard to find due to the climate conditions, there’s every possibility that the strange albino species might actually have some credibility to it. Whether they’re creating their own version of Breaking Bad under the waves remains to be seen, however.
