10 Things Only Dog Groomers Will Understand

They have more things to worry about than just bites...

There are few jobs as misunderstood as dog grooming. While a lot of people are under the impression that the work mainly involves playing with dogs - and giving them a haircut while they stand perfectly still - the reality is quite different. Dog grooming comes with a fair few problems, and not just from the pooches themselves, but occasionally from their owners. A lot of dogs don€™t appreciate having to stand still for a long time, have their ear hair plucked out, nails cut, being bathed, getting blasted dry, and having clippers dragged over their bodies. While there are some owners who don€™t always realise what goes on when their dog is getting groomed, believing it to be similar to someone getting a haircut. The difference being that most people getting haircuts don€™t soil themselves, bite the hairdresser, and move around so much they risk having an ear cut off. But for all its faults, it€™s still an incredibly rewarding job, and nothing beats seeing a happy canine at the end of it all. Dog groomers across the world will understand these unique problems that the profession brings, while for others, this will hopefully shed some light on what your pet€™s stylists have to sometimes endure.
