For some reason, hipsters are known for their love of coffee. Because it's intellectual looking? Because it sits well with a plaid shirt and a long beard? Who knows. Lots of people from various social sectors drink coffee, so it seems silly to associate the drink solely with this small group of people. However, you know it to be true. Forget builders tea: it's coffee only in your house, and you're still getting used to drinking it black. Since 2007, coffee sales have risen by 50 per cent, while champagne sales have fallen by a quarter. Forget drinking alcohol on a Friday night: you guys are happy getting high on caffeine.
