10 Things We Learned From Elon Musk On Joe Rogan Experience
9. Neither Joe Or Elon Believe That There Are Credible News Outlets Anymore
After earning a polarising reputation in the press for his often eccentric behaviour, its perhaps not surprising that Elon does not believe that there are any credible news outlets anymore. Musk states in the podcast that the American news giant CNN is no longer trustworthy and that much of modern journalism has become driven by the need to generate advertising revenue.
Joe goes on to remark the Rolling Stone editor Matt Taibbi is one of the only voices in modern news that he can believe and that he usually just goes off what Taibbi says.
This isn't the first time that Musk has publicly stated his dislike in what he believes to be the partisan and uncredible state of modern journalism. Back in 2018, he tweeted about an idea to create a press-rating website known as Pravda.
Essentially Yelp but for the members of the press, the site would have the public submitting their opinions on the validity of articles that would then ostensibly allow people to determine the credibility of any journalist. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it has yet to be launched.
