Last year saw an eBay listing for a 'Wild West Ghost Town' complete with 15 buildings on a main street in Clifton, Kansas. If I'd stumbled upon this auction amongst the usual pages of Ugg boots and second hand iPods, I'd have bust a blood vessel with excitement. The previous owner, John Hayter, decided to list the creepy old place on eBay to get more exposure. The ghost town, which sold for $25,000, was a mixture of replicas and original 1800s buildings. The huge property included: a two-storey Wild West hotel, an old-timey saloon with bar, dentist office, land office, newspaper office with an antique printing press, sheriff's office and even a railroad track installed within the town. You also got some super unique exhibits thrown in with the town - human-sized prop aliens were planted around the property and in vehicles, as well as a real stunt plane smashed into the roof of a building (just what you've always wanted) and a Volkswagen Beetle in a tree. The tourist attraction has been the host of quick-draw gun shows with real cowboys from Abilene, Kansas, as well as magic shows and dance-hall girls. Just imagine the parties you could throw in this place!
