10 Things You Didn't Know About The Adult Movie Industry
10. Wes Craven Produced A Marilyn Chambers Movie
Billed as a different kind of love story and dismissed by the New York Times as a load of drivel, slapped together as a movie, Together (aka Sensual Paradise) purports to be an investigation into the mystery of man and woman by a goateed, wide-eyed doctor who drones on as a young woman goes diving (and later discovers an alternative use for a dandelion), but is best known as the first pairing of two future horror directors. Directed by Sean S Cunningham (Friday The 13th) and co-produced by Wes Craven (A Nightmare On Elm Street, Scream), Together was distributed by Hallmark Releasing, who funded the duos next collaboration, The Last House On The Left. It was also the movie that introduced the general public to Marilyn Briggs, who subsequently changed her name to Marilyn Chambers and became one of the most famous porn stars of the 1970s.
