An American couple admitted in 2009 to taking their Thanksgiving celebrations to the next level by making the event all about celebrating the work of Hanks. Tom Hanksgiving involves a Hanks-themed meal, with fans Libbie Hayward and Max Dubin dressing up as particular Tom Hanks characters to amuse and feed their friends. Below is an extract from the couple's menu (we're sure Tom Hanks would be super impressed, if only he knew about it): Cravin' Private Fryin': Fried turkey A Leek of Their Own: Leek-filled stuffing Catch Me If You Yam: Candied yams Cauli Wison's War: Cauliflower gratin Apollo Thirtahini: Butternut squash and chickpea salad with tahini Rollar Express: rolls Sleepless in Se-Apple Apple cider cream pie Brandy of Brothers: Cocktail made of apple cider, bourbon, seltzer and apple brandy Talk about talking fandom way too seriously...
