10 Things You Didn't Know About Will Smith

2. He's Not Angry About Racism

Smith talks openly about the N-word in his Ask Men interview, and about racism in general, with the opinion that something is only really an issue if you acknowledge it. So if he ignores racist slurs, racism doesn't exist, basically. "The argument can be made that the words don't matter. But then on the other side, there's so much blood and hatred and pain connected to that word, even if that's true, why would you use it? So it's a very difficult situation that will take a whole lotta years for the black community to decide where we stand as a whole" Being a former rap artist has also made him aware of how music affects racism portrayals, saying that "it could probably go from maybe 37 to maybe 40 percent of the rap records" - but that numbers don't make a lot of difference regardless of the artist's ethnicity.

I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
