Aren't the lights magical and shiny? They brighten up even the most dreary capital street, and the councils spent millions lighting them up around the country. The only problem is Londoners very rarely look up. And even more annoyingly, every year streets all over London are completely shut so that D-list celebrities can turn on the Christmas lights.
