In his belly there were 350 coins to the value of around $650, as well as a collection of necklaces and, disturbingly, a good handful of needles. The horde was so heavy that it had forced his stomach down to rest in his pelvis, hence the debilitating pain he was experiencing.
After it was extracted, the mass was found to be about the same weight as a bowling ball. It's a pretty extreme way to save those pennies, maybe just a jar on the bedside table would be better?
