7. The Single Parent
Be it a single mother or a single father, the main thing you will notice about them, is that they have awesome part-time shifts and they get to finish at 2.30pm every day, leaving you utterly dejected, sat there, working through until your 10pm finish. They swan off to pick up their child; you watch them leave as youre scrambling with an awkward customer, every, single, day. Usually studying something else part time, maybe through the Open University to really push themselves for a better life. And they have cute photos on their phone to show you at break time. Funny stories, a wonderful telephone manner and very caring in their job. Theyre usually really good people to be around. Never quite get over the fact they have better shifts than us though, do we?
