14 Internet Memes We're Totally Obsessed With Using

1. "One Does Not Simply"

Arriving at #1 on this list is the acclaimed "One Does Not Simply", one of the top memes of 2012 and and eclipsing "Said No One Ever" as one of the most used memes on the internet. And even now it still gets considerable shares in 2014. Taking from the infamous shot of Sean Bean as Boromir from The Lord of the Rings, where Boromir weaves a dark summary of the One Ring and Mordor, he makes a small ellipse with his right hand, his teeth gritted at just the right angle and delivering the line, "One does not simply walk into Mordor." The meme generated from this snapshot of Boromir, aptly named "One Does Not Simply", quickly became a cult hit faster than you can say Mordor. Dominating Reddit and 4Chan, there was and is no place the meme didn't reach soon after its inception. The purpose of the meme took from Boromir's "One does not simply walk into Mordor" quote and replaced "walk into Mordor" with a another statement, professing that it's not easily done in any simple terms or circumstances. Soon after people began exploiting the meme's potential, examples such as "One does not simply take ten minute showers" and "One does not simply enjoy a McDonald's meal" started popping up over the interwebs. It's memes like "One Does Not Simply" that really show an admiration in creative freedom. Something regarded as so simple, yet so thoughtful and original, goes a long way at showing just how riveting the mind works. A little nudge at posting it worldwide over the internet also goes into spicing up the intrigue. Pretty soon it becomes obviously apparent that anything and everything is capable at being transformed into a meme. These are the fourteen memes that I personally find to be some of the most neurotic memes ever used up to 2014. Other memes like Philosoraptor, Bad Luck Brian, Am I The Only One, and Bill Lumbergh may feel deserving of being on the list, but the capacity of memes is never-ending and their promise even more so. What do you guys think? Are there any memes you believe should get a mention? Do you have a tendency to use these memes out in the real world? Feel free to express your views in the Comments below!
