14 Problems Only People From Minneapolis Will Understand

13. The Guilt Of Taking Advantage Of Como Zoo

Como Zoo is a wonderful place. It was Minnesota€™s first zoo, established in 1897 with an animal population of three donated deer. Now it€™s got everything you need€” the polar bears, the lions, the gorilla mating drama, the one and only Sparky The Sea Lion. You go there when you want to take in some animal cuties but don€™t feel sassy enough for The Minnesota Zoo. Well, have you ever thrown in to that little donation box at the entrance? Do you know how many times Como Zoo almost died out because of lack of funding over a hundred years? (I€™m not preaching here. I€™ve never donated and I feel terrible.) It€™s hard, though. Nothing beats a free zoo.

Nathan Hastings hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
