Everyone knows there are some truly scary people in the world and cabbies honestly understand why you want to make sure the last girl out of the taxi gets home safely. They do realise why you tell her to send you a text when she gets in, even though you'll probably already be asleep when it arrives. They just wish you wouldn't make it so bloody obvious that the perceived threat is the bloke sat in the driver's seat. And by the way, just to give you a heads-up, the squinty warning looks you lot fire off as you exit the cab would not manage to deter an actual psychopath.
