14 Thoughts You've Had In Preparation For The Great North Run
13. "I'm In Love With My New Trainers"
One cannot reiterate the importance of investing in some decent running trainers. You're running a marathon! So with every step you take, you want your feet and ankles to feel supported and protected. You'll also want trainers that are going to support your joints too because once your knees go, then you're sort of screwed. So whilst you're finding the perfect pair of trainers, don't forget that they're going to become like a second skin, so you want something you'll feel comfortable in. Once you've found them, pick the colour that you love and you'll realise that you'll not want to take them off. And make sure that you don't because the trainers that you run in are the ones that you should wear on your race day. It would be silly to train in one pair and then run a marathon in another that you haven't worn before, no matter now snazzy they are.
