15 Problems Only People From Stoke-On-Trent Will Understand

10. It's Often Quicker To Walk Than Drive

Stoke-on-Trent is blessed with a vast number of easy-to-use roundabouts and a carefully planned one-way system that making driving in the city an unbridled pleasure. Of course, that sentence was pure sarcasm. There's nothing a driver likes more than to be sucked into a one-way system that forces him to drive a mile to get to the next street that was only fifty feet away in the first place. And the three mini-roundabouts in a row in Smallthorne (the Devil's Islands, as they're known) are a constant cause of collisions. The icing on the rancid cake is that parking can be a nightmare too. With all these challenges facing drivers in Stoke-on-Trent, sometimes it's just easier and faster to walk.
