Stop right there, Londoners: your Shard is a tiny speck on the landscape. And stop whining about the Blackpool Tower, Lancastrians: your pointy thing barely registers on the scale. For in Yorkshire, we host the tallest building structure in Britain in the form of the Emley Moor transmitting station. Yeah yeah, so we haven't covered it in shiny lights and stuck a Michelin Star restaurant on top of it, but come on, this is Yorkshire. We're happy to have the best of everything as long as no one knows about it but us. Besides, the talismanic telecommunications tower has already collapsed and been rebuilt once (for real - big, big icicles) so we're rather precious about who's allowed near it.
