12. Your Invitation To The Company Trip Is 'Pending'
Hey, it's the big camping trip this weekend, right? You're still going? Great! Did you get the invite email? Oh... you didn't. Huh, weird. Sound familiar? The reason you didn't get the invite is an obvious one, and when taken with all the other clues, you know the truth. You didn't get the invite because only people with a lifespan of more than a month get taken on expensive company outings. No point taking part in team bonding exercises if you're not gonna be part of the team for more than a few weeks, right? This is one of the signs that hurts the most. We all know you organised most of the trip for everyone, and that you - above all others on this floor of the company - that you love roasting marshmallows more than anyone else. Don't worry though. Soon, you can be drunk on cheap vodka, roasting marshmallows on your gas stove in your apartment at 3 AM. It gets better, tomorrow is another day, other platitudes.
