When you were kids, you would go over to your friend's house, knock on their door and politely ask their parents if they could play outside. But nowadays, all communications is done on their phones and no one ever knocks on anyone's doors anymore - except the Jehovah's Witnesses and local politicians who you've never heard of before. Even your friends now don't knock on your door, they'll either ring you or text you when they're outside, waiting for you to let them in.
