It can also improve your posture and decrease some common discomforts like backaches and fatigue. It can also boost your mood and energy levels, help you sleep better, increase stamina and muscle strength and, of course, prevent excess weight gain. If you were a workoutaholic before the pregnancy don't feel like you have to exercise at your former level. Just do what feels right to you. If you've never worked out a day in your life? Well, now is as good a time as any. Even something as simple as power walking early in the morning can do wonders for you and your baby.
