3. Myth - It's Forbidden To Take Their Photo
A photo of the Amish can be taken without them feeling some evil device has swallowed their souls - but most of them would prefer just to be merely left alone.
Tourists are thus encouraged to use sound judgment when snapping a keepsake of them. The Amish are hard-working folk who desire privacy and respect hence the reluctance to have their photo willy nilly.
