15. The Blood Messages And The Petrified Students

Book: The Chamber Of Secrets Ever since the Chamber Of Secrets, people have been terrified of venturing in bathrooms alone and may have developed a slight fear of snakes, but from this book, that's understandable. Not only was everyone paranoid over who the heir of Slytherin was and if they were a truly evil person, but they also had to walk around school looking at threatening messages on the walls written with blood. Something had to have died for their blood to be used and even if it was just a chicken, that's still a chicken that someone has mutilated to write scary messages in the corridors. But what was so terrifying about the Chamber Of Secrets was how students knew that is had been opened. People were being literally petrified. Of course, this only happens if you look at the basilisk directly in the eyes but how could you not look at it? Not only would you have had to encounter the giant snake but it then scared you so much that it turned you into a shell of your former self and you wouldn't have the ability to run away or even scream for help. Who was going to be the next target and would Hogwarts shut down? Speaking of snakes...
