17 Struggles Of Being In A Long Distance Relationship

167 days to go!

So you've met that person who completely changes your whole outlook on life. It had been a while since someone made you feel like a teenager again, but now every day before you meet them feels like Christmas Eve. You've transformed into a completely different person; you're a lot happier, you don't hate people anymore (or as much) and you feel much lighter. The only problem is that the person you're dating lives 300 miles away. It's a bit of a bummer, and it's even worse for couples who are separated because their partner has been deployed somewhere with the military as they're away for months or a year. You count down the days until they're back from tour and you pray that they're always safe. Even if their battlefields are a little more metaphorical, you're always hoping that they're safe in their own little world. Luckily, you live in an age where you are surrounded by technology, so it's easy enough for you guys to keep in touch. But it's not enough. You crave to be with them physically, even if it's not in a sexual way (which it will be sometimes), but you'll want to be with them just to do the daily, mundane things like the washing up. You want a routine and a system, your partner to dry when you wash and it's upsetting that you want to do something as boring as that with them. There are some serious struggles of being in a long distance relationship and you both need to be equally committed to make it work. But when it does, you'll be so grateful that you stuck it out because that person has changed your life for the better.
