18 Things We All Should Do (But Don't Because 'It's Weird')

9. Be Honest On Social Media

Logging onto Facebook can be a dismal experience when we€™re broke, bored and lonely and yet our friends are posting pictures of exotic holidays and expensive food, but we must remember that we€™re as honest on our social media accounts as a pathological liar pulled over by police. Society€™s obsession with celebrity culture has made us all want to be the stars of our own lives, and as such we€™re extremely choosy when it comes to what we share online. The result is a world full of people who, judging from the selfies they upload, spend their time jetting around the world, dining in the finest restaurants and living a life blissfully free from humdrum responsibility. Yet we know it€™s fake, a construction designed to mimic the exciting lives of celebrities because normal life went out of fashion around the time the Kardashians learned how to work Twitter. It€™s a shame for often the most ordinary things in life are the most touching, those small things that don€™t have a price tag attached: a home-cooked meal, pile of autumn leaves or sunset over the treetops.
