It's actually funny that even some of his biggest fans don't know him as Jason Mewes, but if you were to say "Jay of Jay & Silent Bob" instead, the lights would immediately come on. Jay and Silent Bob, of course, are the lovable stoners in seemingly every Kevin Smith (who portrays Bob) movie. You've seen them in the Clerks series, Mallrats, Dogma and more. They even got their own movie in 2001, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. They're almost always involved in some of the more memorable and entertaining scenes in the movies they're in. Clerks came out in 1994, ladies and gentlemen. Mallrats came out in 1995. Dogma? 1999. Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back? 2001. Clerks 2? 2006. They've been around for a long time, and with Clerks 3 rumored to be filming in 2015, they don't appear to be going away just yet. The fact that the world just celebrated the 20th anniversary of Clerks being released in theaters shows their age, no matter how young Mewes continues to look, or the age his Jay character acts on-screen.
