5. Devote An Hour To Creativity, Rather Than To TV
Creativity is a hard-won battle for pretty much anyone who works in an industry or in a job that requires it - it isn't a limitless resource that keeps refreshing itself, hence why so many creative professionals pushed to produce and publish on a regular basis, to burn out quickly. However, conversely, creativity needs feeding and like any sort of activity or pasttime, it requires time and effort and practice in order to achieve your goals. Therefore one of the best swaps you can possibly engage in, if you want to enhance or develop your creative side, is to cut out TV in favour of doing something creative. No, not all TV, before you ask. Just for an hour or so. TV and other media forms can refill your creative tanks, giving you new ideas and connecting them all together, but sometimes the opposite is what is required. Your mind, when drained of all its usual stimulants such as TV, social media, and the Internet, can finally be allowed to delve deep and create some amazing connections and ideas that you might otherwise never have thought of. So, even if you're skeptical - in fact, particularly if you're skeptical - just give it a try and trade an hour of TV time for some quiet creative daydreaming and imagining. What's to lose, right?
