It was never any secret that Robin Williams was a gifted actor and comedian who consistently thought outside the box. His breakout role as Mork, first on Happy Days and then Mork & Mindy in the late 1970s and early 80s, was beloved by adults and children alike thanks to his sweet depiction of an alien from the planet Ork. Mork & Mindy was carried by Williams improvisational talent, with sections of the script left empty for him to ad lib. Williams audition for the role of Mork definitely demonstrates his raw comedy talent. When going into the audition, producer Garry Marshall told him to sit down.
