19. Apple's Original Logo Featured Sir Isaac Newton... Inspired By The Legend Of How The Physicist Came Up With The Laws Of Universal Gravitation

Although Apple's first logo was almost immediately replaced by a "rainbow Apple" - which was then used until August 1999 - the original image contained Sir Isaac Newton. The logo (pictured above) showed the English physicist and mathematician sitting beneath a tree with an apple above his head - which, as the legend goes, is exactly how he came up with his laws of universal gravitation when the fruit fell on his head.
