10. JFK Was The Youngest President Ever Elected... But Not The Youngest To Assume Office
At just 43 years and 236 days, JFK was the youngest-ever President elected when he assumed office in January 1961. However, Theodore Roosevelt can claim the title of the youngest-ever President. Although not elected when he was elevated to office, Roosevelt was just 42 years and 322 days when he assumed the presidency following William McKinley's assassination in September 1901.
