5. Joe Rogan Experience #1368 - Edward Snowden - 12 Million Views

If you've been watching the JRE since the beginning, you'll have noticed that the podcast has gone through some significant changes. From the layout of the room to the actual location of where the podcast is done, it's been a constantly evolving process. However, one thing that has been mostly consistent is that guests come in, sit opposite him at the table and discuss a range of topics.

While it might seem that Rogan is tied to his very successful way of doing things, he's open to switching things up, especially if the guest is as intriguing as Edward Snowden. This time around, Rogan had the American whistleblower call in via video call. While it wasn't quite the same as his usual sit down chats, the information listeners and viewers got from it was second-to-none.

Snowden explained the various ways the US government utilised technology to spy on its citizens in fine detail and you'll be probably be shocked at how far they were willing to go to obtain information. While it's an extremely interesting watch, it's also a very scary one as it'll make you wonder whether or not we're on the cusp of living in a nanny state of whether we're there already.

It's an extremely interesting, yet very scary watch as it will genuinely make you feel we're either on the cusp of living in a nanny state or we're there already.
