20 Problems Only People From Derby Will Understand

7. These Weird Heads

Walk into Derby city centre down Friar Gate and there's a very good chance you'll have walked past the Derby Heads statues - as part of the city's ghost trail - and from the image above - it's clear to see why these weird statues have disturbed more than a few locals. Not everyone has a problem with them and it's nice to know that they're a tribute to Derby's rebellious spirit - the heads are linked to the Reform Bill Riots uprising. After they were smashed by vandals, £15,000 of repairs were undertaken, which was bad news for anyone who got freaked out by them and good news for fans of obscure local history or weird statue heads.
