2. Walking Past Derby's Very Own Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland

If someone showed you photographs of the wasteland that Duckworth Square has become in the decade since it used to be home to a selection of shops, then told you that this was where the Will Smith film I Am Legend was filmed, chances are you wouldn't bat an eyelid. The eyesore to end all eyesores in Derby, Duckworth Square's long and seemingly futile battle finding someone to develop on it has seen it become so overgrown that it's entirely possible new species have emerged within the depths of its canopies. Presumably the high fence surrounding its perimeter is to keep the predatory animals which dwell within from eating passing pedestrians.
