7. It's Harder Finding A Good Job Than It Is Finding Jesus
Northerners are by and large working class. For the majority of people seeking a career, the best option is to relocate. The Economist actually described Middlesbrough and Hartlepool as "decaying towns", stating we need to save the inhabitants by helping them commute or move to places where there are jobs. The unemployment rates are roughly double the national average in these cities, so it's no surprise young people in the North are wasted talent. Still, there's always the call centre. Shudder.
