Why Get Excited? David Fincher takes on Gillian Flynns wildly popular mystery novel in what he has assured will be a tale told on his own terms, complete with a narrative deviation from the source material. Anticipation for the Zodiac director's latest foray into the thriller genre since The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was high even when the project was announced last year, but what singles this out as a potential award-snatcher come next years season is the strong cast - headed up by Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike another entrancing score from Trent Reznor and the prospect of Fincher presenting us with an altogether different take on the books famed twist.
