A user asked Trump to re-tweet this image of his deceased parents, who reportedly said Trump was a big inspiration to them.

Trump did so, without realising that the image is of Fred and Rosemary West, an infamous serial killer couple responsible for the murders of numerous young women in the 1970s and 80s.

Trump actually considered suing the Twitter user in question for the embarrassing set-up, while lamenting the fact he simply tried to do something nice for a follower.
