This prequel to A New Hope sees a group of Rebel fighters (Felicity Jones, Donnie Yen, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed and more) attempting to steal the plans to the Death Star before they can be put to use, with Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) directing, while Gary Whitta (The Book of Eli, After Earth) and Chris Weitz (About a Boy, Cinderella) write the screenplay. The rest of the cast isn't half bad either, including Forest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk and Mads Mikkelsen, while it's been heavily rumoured that a number of classic Star Wars characters may appear, such as Princess Leia, Darth Vader and, most likely, R2-D2. If it takes a few clever risks, Rogue One could easily be more enjoyable than The Force Awakens and help kill some time during the wait for Episode VIII.
