In July of this year a Malaysia Airlines plane shot down in rebel-held territory, a charge the rebels denied. Pro-Russian fighters walk along the road where victims' bodies lay in bags by the side of the crash site.

The Ukraine government accused Russian-backed insurgents of tampering with evidence at the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crash site in a statement they had released. There were 298 victims in total.
