Anyone who is a fan of theme parks will know the buzzword at the moment is "immersive" and it's a concept that Universal have proven to be masters at.

Even if you have only seen images of Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Orlando, you can see the painstaking detail that the creative team put into it. It is truly being transported into the world of Harry Potter. Unfortunately, this amount of detail has not been put into the Hollywood's Lower Lot.

Despite it housing three of the biggest rides at the park, the Lower Lot isn't the most attractive area. Given that this area practically backs on to the working sound stages, it is understandable how this has happened. The rides themselves have taken over large metal boxes and given the lack of space there is at the park, it is easy to understand how the area has become lacking aesthetically.

It would be good to give the area a bit of a spruce up, perhaps even making some drastic changes to the rides that call that area home.

There have been calls to change the Mummy into another ride and there are opportunities to take over one of the sound stages that border the Lower Lot and turn it into a new attraction.

A few people on Twitter are suggesting that there could be a Secret Life of Pets attraction going in. It seems unlikely that this would be announced next week. The film isn't released at the US box office until 8th July. Universal don't like to tell the public their plans until they are beyond reasonable doubt that it will happen. If the movie was a flop, then this wouldn't be great press for the company.

Perhaps a Race Through New York with Jimmy Fallon style attraction could find a place in Hollywood?
