What makes Portofino Bay so perfect for an adult only trip is how beautiful it is. Every inch of it has been decorated in an understated yet immersive theme.

You really do feel like you are transported away from the buzz of the theme parks to a relaxed Italian atmosphere. There's no hustle and bustle, just pure charm as you walk through the doors.

The hotel is also so vast that it's easy to get lost, but that's not such a bad thing. When exploring you will often come across a lovely piazza or alcove. Despite there being over 750 guest rooms and visiting in the height of summer at times we would stumble across places where we were completely alone, which made the hotel feel incredibly peaceful.

The team members at the hotel are incredibly friendly and go out of there way to make guests feel at home. We even saw the hotel's Director helping out guests with bags in the lobby. This kind of service makes you feel like you are staying in a family hotel, rather than a huge chain.

Portofino Bay is Universal Orlando Resort's flagship hotel. Given just how much it has to offer it really isn't hard to see why.
