9 Exciting Things Coming To Universal Resort Orlando

3. Volcano Bay

Opening in 2017, Volcano Bay is a brand new water theme park. With Wet 'n' Wild closing its doors to guests at the end of this year, Volcano Bay will quickly become the new and improved Universal water theme park where there is as much relaxation promised as there is fun. The new park is still shrouded in mystery, but Mark Woodbury, President of Universal Creative, said on the Universal Orlando Blog, "The park will feel as if it is set in picture-perfect tropical islands, formed by a massive volcano €“ and it will have something for every member of the family. It will feature radically-innovative attractions, peaceful moments of relaxation and an experience that we hope will change the way guests think about water theme parks." This sounds like the perfect water theme park for a resort that is used to taking its guests to exciting immersive environments.
