Every Major Alton Towers Ride Ranked Worst To Best

6. TH13TEEN

Situated in a dense dark forest is an old house slowly being consumed by the nature around. This house will dump any visitors into its carts and send them hurtling back outside, flying them through the dense woodland surrounding the old building before grinding to a sudden halt. That, however, is only when the thrills really start to get going...

Built in 2009 as 'Secret Weapon 6', TH13TEEN is one of the most heavily marketed rides any theme park has ever pushed. Prior to its official opening, rumours were circulating up and down the land that the ride would be the scariest ever built, would require a signed waiver just to ride and one of the few roller coasters to actually impose an age restriction.

In reality, this ride is much tamer than any of the other big coasters at the park. There are no corkscrews or loops which, given the fact that it was built on the exact place the famous Corkscrew ride had been, makes this one of the more gentler, family-friendly experiences on the whole. TH13TEEN is, essentially, a pretty middle-of-the-road coaster that boasts some solid themes and a unique feature of being home to the world's very first vertical drop on a roller coaster.
