Every Stephen King Novel Ranked Worst To Best

14. Revival

Stephen King in It: Chapter Two
Vincent Chong

One of Stephen King's more recent horror tales, Revival is at once a svelte and unflinching look at childhood and grief, and a chilling, deeply unsettling meditation on death and the afterlife. Unlike the majority of King's tales, Revival has no niceties lurking under the surface, promising some kind of happy ending. Rather, it is a brutal, dreary novel bursting with ideas, thoughts, and some of the author's most brilliantly realised characters.

It might not be the happiest novel he's ever done, but it's without question one of his most unforgettable.
