London Tube "Collapse" On Bakerloo Line At Embankment Station

We are getting reports that a tube tunnel on the Bakerloo Line of London's Underground between Waterloo and Embankment has "collapsed" this morning. Reports started coming in at around 9.40am and nothing is yet confirmed but The London Fire Brigade have reported that smoke was "issuing" from the reported collapse area. The Transport for London website have issued a brief statement regards the incident:
"The Bakerloo line is suspended between PC and Elephant & Castle due to obstruction in tunnel at Embankment. Severe delays."
Police, however, have suggested the matter was less serious than first thought, citing a defect in one of the tunnel walls which led to a minor collapse. No injuries have been reported as yet, although many Ambulances were reported to have been called to the area surrounding the incident. An announcement at Embankment station told passengers that there was an obstruction on the line but made no reference to a collapse. A brief update on the TFL twitter feed stated that their engineers are attending the scene to assess the severity of the incident. Severe delays are expected for the rest of the day.
