Storage will be half of the Lumia 800 at 8GB. Nokia's CEO, Stephen Elop, has explained that the Lumia 800 will be available initially in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and the UK. Speaking of the new Nokia Lumia phones, Elop said:
"Eight months ago, we shared our new strategy and today we are demonstrating clear progress of this strategy in action. We're driving innovation throughout our entire portfolio, from new smartphone experiences to ever smarter mobile phones."
Four other smart phones were also announced by Nokia aimed at emerging mobile markets. The new "Asha" range of devices will feature QWERTY keyboards and touch screens. They are targetted at the quoted "next billion" users who are yet to connect to the Internet. The Nokia Asha phones will be priced between 60 and 115 euros. Some of the phones will have music features, as well as the popular Angry Birds game pre-loaded on the device. The Asha range will ship late 2011 or early 2012.
