6. Virgo (August 23rd - 22nd September)
Virgo is, perhaps, the most maligned star sign in the zodiac. Typically thought to be whiners, perfectionists and critics, Virgos have a lot to prove in order to fight back against their perceived negative traits. I, myself, am a Virgo. I would say there are quite a few notions about Virgos that can be debunked. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of the mind. This makes them very analytical - a Virgo will deconstruct everything down to the socks they wear. It also gives the Virgo a strong intellect and an eye for details. Typically very modest, Virgo's like to run things behind the scenes, they are not usually in positions of great power and their critical nature makes it virtually impossible to get one past them. They are the great discerners of the Zodiac. Virgos make great friends because they are loyal and honest folk. Across broader humanity, Virgo has a sincere duty to help and serve mankind. They are down to earth people who despise pretence, affectations and flakes. They are also usually big readers who have a wide variety of interests. They are usually obsessed by health matters and they take work very seriously. Hygiene is important to them. On the negative side - Virgo's tendency to react on fact rather than emotions makes them frequently appear cold and critical. Virgoans are said to lack empathy and unable to see the opposing side of the argument. Their critical side is probably their worst trait and the one that drives people up the walls. Virgo is extremely critical. They criticize anything or anyone and unless they keep their criticism to themselves, they can come across as moaners, sore losers and whingers. But overall most Virgos are a mixture of good and bad producing a modest but mildly critical friend who would do anything to help you. Virgo is most compatible with Taurus and Capricorn
