6 Reasons Why Pardew Will Never Quit Newcastle United

2. Why Change The Habit Of A Life-Time?

In every job Pardew has had since he walked away from Reading to better himself, he has endured " difficult" periods with miserable results, accusations of inadequacy and background unrest all major players, and he's never quit. At West Ham he was fired after a bad run; at Charlton he left by "mutual consent", which is a sacking dressed up, especially given his performance there; and then at Southampton he was sacked again. In all cases, he faced such fierce criticism that other managers might have walked away, but Pardew hung on in every case and waited for the axe to fall. Quitting is an admission of culpability, and that just doesn't fit the picture.
