007 Similarities Between Doctor Who And James Bond

4. Iconic Transportation

Another case of the Doctor sticking with the tried and true, while Bond tends to chop and change. Both characters are inexorably linked with their classic and iconic transportation and both vehicles are equally coveted by fans all over the world. The Doctor's TARDIS has remained relatively unchanged in external appearance since the show's debut in 1963 and thus the iconicism is totally deserved and to be expected. Bond, on the other hand, has driven (and destroyed) more cars than one would care to count. One brand of car, however, has been irreversibly connected with the James Bond franchise since 1964's Goldfinger', the franchise's third installment. That brand is, of course, the Aston Martin. Bond and Aston Martin go together as certainly as the Doctor and his trusty type 40. Both vehicles have become true British icons, recognised and adored throughout the world, and deseverdly so!
